HOW IT WORKS
True Expressions Photography offers a three step process with the ultimate goal of your final product and wishes. We cater to our clients knowing that in our day to day life time is limited and it is often stressful later on to determine what to do with your pictures once they are taken, so we make sure to help you every step of the way so that in the end it's all done and ready for you. Once your pictures are ready for delivery we want you to know that your portraits will look exactly how you want them to be. That stray hair that blew with the wind or the mosquito bite on your little ones cheek, we make sure to discuss all these little details so that our portraits are expertly retouched and perfect for you to share and display.
Booking, planning and scheduling your session
This step typically takes place on the phone so we can go over the best date and time for your session and discuss in person your vision and desires. We will also go over any styling and send you links and tips for picking clothing.
Mini Sessions are quick 20 minute sessions and are limited to one style of background (so either outdoor or indoor). Full sessions can take place at both giving you a little more of a variety as well as a chance to change outfits if you choose. Our sessions are scheduled around your little ones happiest time of day as well as your style of session. If you choose to have some outdoor pictures taken then those will take place in the first 2 hours after sunrise or 3 hours before sunset. We want to make sure you have the most flattering and best lighting for your pictures. Our indoor studio has professional lighting and can be taken at any time of day.
your order & DESIGN APPOINTMENT
Order & Design appointments are booked around one week after your session. Your images will be displayed to you in a gorgeous slideshow set to music on a large 60 inch screen. We will help you narrow down favorites, go over any retouching, look at additional products and design a wall gallery of you choose. We want to make sure your pictures are retouched and designed exactly how you want them to look, so that they are perfect when you pick them up.
Our most popular custom full sessions are perfect for capturing multiple poses and groupings such as mom with kids, dad with kids, individuals, etc.
Our custom sessions can have multiple backgrounds and we are also able to use locations around us such as Downtown Tomball for more urban photos.

Our 20 minute custom mini session comes with 5 expertly retouched digital images. Our mini sessions are perfect for newborn sessions with a single background or prop, cake smashes, milestone baby pictures, single family images & headshots.

professional hair & make-up

We often know getting ready for sessions can be stressful as we try to get ourselves ready, so we have an amazing hair and makeup artist who works out of the studio. This is a great addition to your session and allows for some fun pampering right before as well. Our hair and makeup artist is full knowledgable in making sure your hair and makeup are perfect even in our Texas weather.

FOr newborn sessions our moms will come at their session time and while they are having hair & makeup done we are able to capture babies alone shots to save time and keep your little one close by.
Your little one changes and grows so much the first year and we know how important and fleeting these moments are. Capturing their smiles, chunky little legs and their growing personality are all things we love to focus on.
Each Baby Plan package comes with your sessions as well 25 - 5x7 custom designed birth announcements that you can share with friends and family. These are hand designed around your newborn session and printed on premium papers.

Our a la carte portraits and canvases start at $85 and come fully retouched. We love details and want to make sure they are perfect. We also offer custom framing and wall gallery collections that come with your digitals. Our one of a kind specialty farmhouse framing gives our clients a custom look that you won't find anywhere else and our gorgeous matted frames offers a chic design. All portraits and products purchased come with your digital images.
ALBUMS & design
Our custom 8x8 and 10x10 albums are by far our most popular and favorite product. They are gorgeously designed around your session images and share the story of your session with your family and loved ones. These albums are a heirloom that your family will treasure forever and pass on for generations. Digital images come with all our products, so of course your albums also come with a collection of your digital images. We also custom design our birth announcements and greeting cards around your session. These 5x7 cards are loved by all of our clients and are printed on premium papers for you to share with friends and family.

how far in advance do i need to book?
For sessions booked January -August we recommend scheduling 2 to 4 weeks in advance. Sessions in September -December book 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Evening and Saturday sessions are always the first to book, so if you are wanting a sunset/evening session or Saturday session we recommend booking the sooner the better.
what is required to book my date?
To hold your session date and time, your session fee which holds as a deposit is required. For mini sessions it is $75 and for full sessions it is $150. This fee is non-refundable and may be transferred to another date and time for sickness or weather. We understand little ones get sick at the drop of a hat, so we ask that you call to let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your session. The remainder or additional products you choose to add are not due until after your ordering appointment.
do you offer digitals?
We do! We know everyone loves to share their pictures with friends and family, so every portrait that you order comes with a complimentary digital as well as our books and collections come with digitals as well. We also love to spoil our clients and often gift extra digitals with our books and collections. We also have just digital packages that come with the sessions, but you are also able to add on extra digitals to these packages if you need more.
DO YOU HAVE SPECIALS?
We have a few mini session specials that we offer throughout the year. Since these are often styled mini sessions the pricing can vary depending on the set. Please see our mini session link at the top of the page to view current and upcoming specials. If one strikes your fancy, let us know as soon as possible as these are limited and book fast.
DO YOU GO ON-LOCATION?
Yes, we do! Any session that takes place around our studio and in the 77375 zip code is the same price as our traditional session fees. Anything outside of this zip code in the surrounding Houston area is an additional $100. For anything further, please call and we can chat. We have traveled as far as Florida and Tennessee and we love new places!
